Satellite Tracking

In order to track our helicopters more precisely, we recently purchased a Spidertracks GPS tracking system that shows the exact route of our helicopters and monitors airspeeds and altitudes in pre-determined time intervals via Iridium Satellite. We're currently using the system on a powerline patrol and filming job. This data can be viewed over the Internet by designated company personnel for flight-following and will be an added safety feature to all of our Mexico flights - documenting the exact location, takeoff and landing times. All flight data is stored to review at a later date for review or pre-planning for new flights.

Corporate Helicopters is constantly looking for ways to make our client services better so you can count on regular enhancements like these, as we lead the way with the latest and best technology to maximize flight safety for our passengers and pilots.

External Load

The versatility of the helicopter as a working machine requires many skill sets for our pilots. Chief Pilot Randy Zahn has over 13,750 hours of flight time with 900 hours of external load experience.

Our AS350B2 AStar lifts up to 1660 lbs on the hook; whether it is a Bambi Bucket full of water for fire suppression or any number of other loads.

Recently we began a recurrent (and initial) training session for pilots and ground crew, expanding our services to our clients.

The ground crew and lift operations were observed by pilot and Safety Officer, Gary Roesink to ensure proper company procedures were followed.

Midway Party Helo

A grand 40th surprise birthday party was thrown for Jim McCoy by his wife, Amy, at the Midway Museum. His friends were flown with him in our AStar for a scenic flight and he was very surprised when they landed on the Aircraft Carrier. The Midway hosts small groups and large events for a very special way to celebrate on the bay.

Go exploring aboard one of America’s longest serving aircraft carriers. This floating city at sea has nearly 50 years of world history, with more than 60 exhibits, a collection of 25 restored aircraft and three flight simulators. The onboard museum preserves the heritage of the 225,000 young men and women who served aboard her to protect America. Come visit this magnificent symbol of freedom.

Jeff  Horonzy started flying over three years ago, after moving to California and enlisting in the Navy.  Initially earning his license to fly airplanes, Jeff took an Intro Flight at Corporate Helicopters and immediately fell in love with the art of flying helicopters.

Having since gone on to earn his Commercial and Instrument ratings, Jeff just recently passed his CFII checkride.   He also received his Commercial and Instrument ratings in airplanes and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Now that Jeff has completed his enlistment in the Navy, he is excited to start his flying career and is looking forward to begin working as a Flight Instructor.
