Star EducationCorporate Helicopters takes time out to give a facility tour to Star Education, an after school program for autistic children. Pilot, Andy Fagan and Mandy Patterson, Vice President Operations, lead 8 kids and their chaperones on a tour of Corporate Helicopters’ facility. The highlight of their tour was getting to see KNSD’s News chopper 7/39, operated by Corporate Helicopters. Playboy Golf TournamentThe Playboy Scramble is the nation's hottest golf tournament, and was held at Maderas Golf Course. The tournament is commitment to working with local charities throughout the United States and Canada. Like Playboy Golf, we at Corporate Helicopters also believe that we can assist those trying to help others. Corporate Helicopters donated a helicopter flight to Playboy Golf for the Playboy Scramble event. In the photo, Ivor Shier is shown enjoying the company of Playboy Bunny, Pilar Lastra, who also stars as briefcase girl #14 on the Game Show “Deal or No Deal”. Ms Lastra, along with Playboy Golf President & COO, Ajay Pathak made a grand entrance into the Playboy Golf Tournament via helicopter. Corporate Helicopters to the RescueCorporate Helicopters received a request for help from Protection Civil (Mexico’s equivalent of the Office of Emergency Services). They received a report of 37 children trapped in a canyon 50 miles east of Tijuana. The children had been on a long hike, ran out of water, and some were suffering from dehydration. Pilot Brant Bass was dispatched to Tijuana Airport in the LongRanger within the hour. After picking up two rescuers in Tijuana, they found one small, rocky but level area to land the helicopter. One of the rescuers, Mario Rodriguez, established IV’s on three unconscious children while five others were loaded in the helicopter. A quick five-minute flight took the children to ambulances waiting near Boulevard 2000, the main road connecting Tijuana and Tecate. It was too late for one ten-year-old boy but five trips later, the nineteen most critical children were evacuated and it was getting dark. After being rehabbed with water, the remaining hikers elected to spend the night and hike out the following day. Without the quick efforts of Corporate Helicopters, the outcome would have been catastrophic. Helicopters for SaleCorporate Helicopters has a great selection of New and Pre-owned Helicopters.
