Opening Day Del Mar Racetrack
Five Red Bull Parachute jumpers exited the AStar helicopter to wow the crowds for the opening day ceremony at the Del Mar Racetrack.
Pilot, Gary Roesink flew back to base by himself, while his passengers stayed and enjoyed a day of horse racing.
The maintenance crew at Corporate Helicopters is shown sporting their new T Shirts. It was stated that in summer the silk-screen logo made ‘sweaty backs’, so the newly designed embroidered logo shirts should keep them more comfortable. Jon McClure as the Director of Maintenance oversees a busy shop that is also Robinson Sales and Service Center. They maintain Bell, Eurocopter, MD and Robinson helicopters.

Off -Road Racing
Pilot Tim Sears flew to Plaster City on July 2nd with Garner Shepard who assisted on location as Ground Crew and flew Camera Operator, Jim Cook on an aerial video shoot of Trophy Lites for a TV Pilot called “OFF Road USA”, hoped to be picked up by the Fox Sports Network.
The CORR – "Championship Off Road Racing" was held at the Quarry track in Chula Vista and was carried live nationwide on NBC Sports on Sunday July 27th. Pilot, Ivor Shier and cameraman, Marty Zimmerman, shot live downlink High Def featuring beautiful San Diego and aerials of the race.

On Mon July 21st Ivor Shier flew to Dallas to accept delivery of a new Eurocopter EC120. This helicopter is not only terrific to look at but is technologically advanced in so many ways.
The paint scheme, picked by Deann Shier and the trim pattern was designed by Len Jennings, of American Eurocopter. The EC120 is becoming more popular with the private owner and helicopter operators looking for a helicopter that can replace the older Bell JetRanger that is now out of production.

Congratulations to Terry Frost for again successfully completing the Robinson Factory Training Course, renewing his CFI and gaining his SFAR 73 endorsement for instructing in the R-44. Seen somewhere here with many students from all over the World at the Robinson Factory.
It seems one of the stray cats that Terry’s wife daily feeds had kittens. One little stow away rode in the engine compartment of his SUV from San Diego to Torrance on top of the battery box. Fortunately, Nancy Wood, course administrator for Robinson, loves cats and adopted the little wannabe pilot who she appropriately named Roadie...
