Ivor Shier, Director of Operations SAG Pilot, 135 Charter

Ivor learned to fly airplanes in Ireland in 1972. Always having a love for helicopters, he finally took the opportunity to get his helicopter rating in California in 1986. This started his career in aviation in which he has accumulated over 8,000 flight hours. With an FAA approved Motion Picture Manual and as a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), he has developed an excellent reputation with directors and camera operators as a pilot they can depend on to get the best shots while keeping them safe. Ivor has been credited in many television shows, major motion pictures and Imax movies (See Ivor Shier's profile at the IMDB). Ivor also possesses a talent for matching helicopter buyers with aircraft. Ivor is one of the founders and shareholders of the company.

Deann Shier, Chief Executive Officer

Deann graduated from the University of Hawaii and began her involvement with the tour helicopter business over thirty years ago through the venues of marketing and aerial photography. After moving to San Diego she realized that her marketing and business experience could be applied to the helicopter business in San Diego. She is one of the co-founders of the company and she has spent the last two decades dedicating her time to improving the professionalism and quality of the company. Deann has grown with the company tackling the everyday executive management tasks required to guide the company to reach it's desired vision and goals.

Randy Zahn, Chief Pilot

Randy has not done it all, but there isn't much he hasn't done in his 40 year aviation career. Randy is rated in helicopters and single and multi-engine land and sea planes, he holds an FAA, CAA and JAA ATPL rating as well as Peruvian and Indonesian Commercial and CFI Ratings. He has flown over 50 different types of airplanes and helicopters, including corporate jets and P51's. He has flown in 40 countries, 47 states and over 17 bodies of water. He has an extensive training and safety background and was a consultant to the RAF and British Army in the establishment of their CRM programs. He also worked with the Fleet Air Arm and Canadian Coast Guard. Randy is the author of Snake Pilot: Flying the Cobra Attack Helicopter in Vietnam, and was the subject for a Military Channel documentary that took him back to Vietnam three years ago.

Jon McClure, Director of Maintenance, A&P, IA

Jon obtained his A&P license in 1981 in Amarillo Texas. Upon moving to SD in 1985 he began specializing on helicopters. After 15 years working for the SDPD Air Support Unit he made a career change in early 2003 to assume the demanding position of Director of Maintenance for Corporate Helicopters. Jon has attended factory schools for Bell Helicopters, MD Helicopters and Rolls Royce engines and in 1999 was named ALEA Technician of the year.

Mandy Patterson, Vice President Operations, Aerial Photographer

After graduating from art school in 2000, Mandy joined the Corporate Helicopters team as Account Manager and was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2006. Mandy is talented at planning customized excursions and group events. She is the lead organizer of the companies' aircraft on major sporting events such as the Score Off-Road races and also works with Ivor Shier, SAG Pilot and Director of Operations, to coordinate film and television productions. Mandy still expresses her artistic side by taking pictures from one of the companies' helicopters while on an aerial photography assignment.
